Previously, the Cowlands had a much smaller conservatory which didn't offer much in the way of usable space. They looked towards a much more modern, large conservatory in the style of an orangery.
In order to incorporate the solid aspects of an orangery but maintain the light, cost effective characteristics of a traditional conservatory we decided on a Livin Room style build. This incorporates internal plaster framework which, paired with the matching external brick piers make the project feel much more like a natural extension to the house.
Mr & Mrs Cowland decided on a contemporary Chartwell green colour for the frames of the conservatory; matching nicely with the pale brickwork and giving the whole building a summery feel. The use of a uPVC Ultraframe roof and large four-part bi-folding doors give the whole room a massive amount of light which flows through nicely into the rest of the home and really opens up the garden.
Since completion, the Cowlands have hosted several large parties and agree that the space gives them much more room for entertainment and allows them to enjoy the fantastic views over the Oxfordshire countryside. They were also highly complimentary of the personable and professional nature of the entire team at Crendon Conservatories and we are very glad we could help fulfil their plans.
