Traditional Edwardian Conservatory in Mentmore
Mrs Langley came to us in late 2013 with a very bespoke requirement for a traditional Edwardian conservatory for her home in Mentmore, Buckinghamshire.
We began work on this striking conservatory in early 2014, with the aim of providing somewhere for Mrs Langley to read in peace while enjoying the beautiful garden she has at her home. The property itself is a listed building, so our first job was to draw up our designs and then work with our architect, Phil Brookes, to achieve the required listed building consent.
We worked hard to make sure that the new structure wouldn't clash with the classic line and materials of the house, and so opted for a Country Hardwood frame based on the Edwardian style, with a similarly styled Ultraframe roof. We installed cottage style flush casement windows which also blend with the period cottage style.
The final structure looks absolutely stunning, and both Mrs Langley and ourselves are extremely happy with the outcome.
