Livin Room Style Cross Over Extension in Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Oxon
Mr & Mrs Webber came to us in early 2016 looking to replace their tired, existing conservatory with a large, stylish garden room.
Following on from a consultation with our design team, we decided on a Livin Room style extension, incorporating stylistic aspects of an orangery whilst still maintaining the valuable light and functionality of a conservatory.
The large brick piers and solid interior walls further detract from the concept of a typical conservatory and give the room a very solid feel. The large Ultraframe roof also allows for a massive amount of light to enter into the adjoining living room, whilst reflecting heat, allowing for the room to be utilised in all weather conditions; giving a cosy extra living space in winter and a beautiful garden room with the doors open in summer.
The Webbers opted for two sets of four-part uPVC sliding doors. One between the living room and extension, and the other between the conservatory and the patio area and garden. We offered a timeless, bespoke 'slate grey' coloured frame to the doors and roof to give the extension a sense of belonging to the rest of the house.
A year on from completion, the Webbers are very happy with their summer room and are looking forward to fully utilising it in the summer months.
